Ellen Heeson(m) 1878

Convicted of the murder of her two children, Sarah and Lydia, and her mother in Warrington in 1878, but she was found to be pregnant when sentence was passed, and the death sentence was eventually commuted to life imprisonment. She was initially charged with her husband Edward, but charges against him were dropped. She had the lives of her victims insured with the Prudential Insurance Company. She was also known as Ellen Johnson.
